Universal Accessibility is an Edinburgh-based accessibility consultancy.

We help you open up your digital products and services to more people with a wider range of abilities.

Our services can help you deliver great user experiences for all. We can help you reach as many customers as possible.

Early inclusion

We will help you find and define problems as early as possible. This could be by reviewing wireframes or testing prototypes using assistive technologies. Or, we can facilitate direct feedback from users with disabilities. We will work with you to figure out how best to address any problems we find, through design and development. By helping identify potential issues early, you can establish better requirements, save money on a large audit … and avoid issues down the road.

Expert reviews

Using accessibility compliance guidelines and user experience techniques, we can provide an expert review to highlight any problems in a live or nearly complete website or app. We will prioritise any issues we find depending on their practical impact, and unlike many other consultants, we’ll tell you how to fix those issues, too. We can help you ensure that your digital services are usable, accessible and comply with current legislation.

Accessibility training

We can cater our accessibility training to suit your specific needs; whether it's a detailed look at testing a web site for conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, or focusing on best patterns to use in responsive design - we can help give you the skills to embed accessibility into your workflow. Examples include: Web accessibility basics for developers; Web accessibility testing using screen readers; Practical WAI-ARIA.
